Comparing

A reason life and processing it can feel so errr... and clenched fist is because of the constant comparing that's getting fired off like July 4th grand finales. "Hard," and its wash-off, its byproducts, happens when you compare yourself to a dot in the past that was "better," you downgrade yourself because you don't somehow match up to another or you take on someone else's dumpy opinion that you truly don't jive with. The list can be a lengthy pitfall of missing's, lack's, should be's and wanna be's.
This sledgehammers you into feeling not good enough, < than, broken, fallen and solo. Simply put - where you're at right Now isn't it. And - you're not there yet.
Creating space between you and comparing helps reduce the serious. Your breaths take on a root beer float in a frosty mug vibe. You feel lighter and enjoy your own private quiet magic in the airy froth. An abundance of calm is in the simple, and it's scattered everywhere. You may confusingly look past it, but you can't deny its stare. It's just waiting for you to make eye contact.
Inner tube down your river.
Do You,
Jimmy
"Not a shred of evidence exists in the favor of the idea that life is serious." ~ Brendon Gill
Oh, and by the way... The flip side, the > than's, well, that's just an enormous illusion too.
